CRUFTS... NEC, Birmingham. In March each year we attend Crufts Champion Dog Show with all our Great Dane Memorabilia for sale. We also start our yearly Raffle there too. It is a great opportunity to meet the public, and for them to be able to see all our wares. But the most important reason for our presence is that we are able to stand and chat to the visitors who need advice on owning a Dane for the first time. Also owners who have problems with their Danes, who, in some cases are desperate for help and advice. Many friends, who support NGDR, come each year to see how we are doing and ask about the Danes we have had through our care. A.G.M... Hilton Hotel North, Newbury, Berks. The Charity’s A.G.M. is held in March or April; the date will be publicised in advance to the Members. Fully paid-up Members are very welcome to attend. No Member will be entitled to vote unless they are over the age of eighteen and after a period of one year prior to the Annual General Meeting. BOWOOD DOG SHOW & COUNTRY FAIR... Bowood, Calne, Wiltshire. Every June we attend this amazing show; we fundraise by making games to play, (guess the dog’s name, etc.), hold a Tombola, and we take along a Rescued Great Dane or two for the public to have a cuddle with. Quite often many of our Re-homed Great Danes come along to see us and partake in a lovely relaxed fun day. DANE of the YEAR SHOW... Sports Connexion, Ryton on Dunsmore, Coventry. This prestige show is held in October and most of the Great Dane Clubs attend. We are invited by the hosting Club to attend with all our Memorabilia. We hold a Tombola or another fundraising idea. It is an opportunity for the Breeders to come and chat and buy some presents for Christmas, especially our Christmas cards.
